Stem-woody
Woody stems are characterized by the presence of a secondary xylem. They are the stems of plants that have been growing for two years or more. After two years, the stem will thicken to accommodate growth and increased circulation in a plant. This woody stem, also known as a tree trunk, is that of a fig tree.
