Fibrous proteins are rod or wire like in shape are generally inert structure or storage proteins. They are water insoluble and found in keratins, which are found in hair. To represent fibrous proteins, I have a picture of human hair.
The lepidoptera family is a large order of insects that includes moths and butterflies and includes
over 180,000 species. They are commonly characterized as being covered in scales, have two compound eyes, and an elongated mouth. All of them evolve from the caterpillar form. In this picture, I have a Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly which is part of the lepidoptera family.
A herbaceous stem is a stem which has very little or no woody tissue. They are most often annual plants and die down to the roots in colder temperatures. Here is an image of a herbaceous stem from the flower called Mexican High Hat.
A pollinator is an organism who transfers pollen from the male portion of the flower to the female stigma to accomplish fertilization from the female gamete to the male gamete in the pollen grain. In this picture, a bumble bee is taking the pollen from this flower, and when he moves to a new flower, he would have accomplished fertilization.
A cnidarian is under the phylum cnidaria which contains over 9,000 species of animals found specifically in aquatic and mostly marine environments. They have a certain feature called cnidocytes, which are specialized cells that are used mainly for capturing prey. Most of the bodies of cnidarians are also
made up of a jelly-like substance called mesoglea. Many prey on animals from the size of a plankton to organisms multiple times larger than themselves. In this picture, I am with a Man o' war jellyfish, which is in the cnidaria phylum.
