Adaptation of a Plant:

The bark of a deciduous tree limits moisture evaporation from the tree's trunk. In drier temperatures this adaptation of a deciduous tree is crucial in the survival of the tree. Without the bark, the tree would dry out and die.

Conifer Leaf:

Conifer trees are plants that posses naked seeds not enclosed in an ovary. They usually lose their leaves annually and regrow narrow, sharp pointed needles.

Long Day Plant:

Long Day plants are flowers that bloom in the late spring, early summer months. Long day plants such as vincas require more sunlight to flower then short day plants that bloom in the winter months. The average amount of sunlight required for long day plants is 16 hours during warm temperatures.
