Eukaryotes are organisms whose cells contain complex structures enclosed within membranes. These Eukaryotes are two of my horses. most living organisms beside bacteria are Eukaryotes.

Lepidoptera is a large order of insects that includes moths and butterflies. This picture is of a moth which is an example of a Lepidoptera.

Xerophytes are plants that are able to survive in enviroment that have little water or moisture. The most comon example of a Xerophyte is a cactus.

Lichen is a combination of two organisms that is composed of fungal filaments, but living among the filaments are algal cells, usualy from green alga or a cyanobacterium. The blue-green color crusty looking stuff on the tree is an example of Lichen.

Basidiomycetes are fungi that produce spores that are formed outside of a pedestal-like structure. These mushrooms are a good example of Baidiomycetes.

A Bryophyte is a land plant that is non-vascular, have tissues and enclosed reproductive system, but lack vascular tissues that transport liquids. Moss is an example of a Bryophyte.

Ectotherms are coldblooded organisms. This means that they control thier body temperature through external means. This is a picture of a rat snake i cought in my horse barn. Snakes, as well as all other reptiles, are Ectotherms.

A Frond is a large devided leaf. This picture if of a fern which is a good example of a frond.

Scale from an organism with a two-chamberedheart: Fish have simple-two chambered hearts and on this fish, you can clearly see the scales that cover its body. This specific fish is a Creek chub (semotilus atromaculatus) which is a tipe of minnow that can grow large enough to resemble a carp and live in small streams and creeks.

Annelids are segmented worms that include earthworms, leaches, and other types of segmented worms both aquatic and terrestrial.
