This starfish represents radial symmetry. Radial symmetry occurs often in nature and is where both sides of an organism are symmetrical. Other common examples can be seen in butterflies, flowers, and even humans.

  1. Radial symmetry is symmetry around a center. Butterflies and humans have bilateral symmetry which is having symmetrical sides. There's a big difference between the two.
