The other transport tissue is the phleom which is found in the intermost part of the bark and the main function of the phleom is transport the organic materials made during photosyntesis other parts of the tree. The wood also contains lignin which is a chemical compound found within plant cells. Lignin is used as a sort of barrier between the cell wall. It is found between the cellulose, hemicellulose, and pectin. Lignin also also has a function where it helps stregthen the xylem
