sam sprouse part two

The leaf seen in this image is a deciduous leaf. This leaf is different from a conifer leaf because during the winter the deciduous leaves fall from the tree branches.

This example of a conifer leaf is very different from a deciduous leaf. The differences can be seen just with the eye such as the conifer leaf bears cones. The main defining factor between a conifer and a deciduous leaf is that while a decuiduos tree loses their leaves all at once, a conifer tree loses leaves continusly throughout the year.

The cones found on this pine tree are gymonosperm cones. The term gymonsperm cone is used to describe seeds which are not found within the organism which is the case with fruits and other seed bearing organinsms, but the seeds are found on the outside of the organism. This is the case with cone bearing trees. The seeds or cones grow on the branches of trees.

  1. I like how you incorporated the various plant tissues into your one picture of the tree. It would help if you would underline or bold the terms so I know which ones you are using from the list.

Your picture of conifer leaf is a deciduous leaf and vice-versa.
